Exterior Surfaces:

The prep can be as much as 80% of an exterior paint job. Chances are, your home is either Wood, Stucco, Cedar Shakes, Asbestos Shingles, Brick, concrete, Aluminum or Vinyl Siding or perhaps a combination. Each one of these surfaces requires its own distinct preparation process. Midwest Painting Company understands that if you want the maximum paint adhesion, you must first understand the subtleties of preparing any exterior surface. Our trained professionals recognize these distinctions and prepare each exterior surface accordingly.

Primer:

Once the exterior surface has been properly prepared, a fresh coat of primer is applied. The primer penetrates and seals the exterior surface to achieve the proper adhesion and uniform substrate for the final finish.

Finishes:

There is a variety of paint finishes to choose from as described below.

Flat:

A durable paint with a flat, non-glossy matte finish with excellent hiding capability usually used on the body of the home.

Satin:

An exceptionally durable, satin finish paint with very good hiding capability and superb color retention usually used on windows, shutters, and trim.

Soft/Medium Semi -Gloss:

Exceptionally durable, soft gloss paint with good hiding capability and color retention usually used on doors.

High Gloss:

A protective finish that provides a smooth, high gloss sheen. High gloss exhibits excellent leveling and moderate hiding capability usually used on metal surfaces, such as rails.
